IPL 2024 Schedule – Rules
Each team is entitled to a strategic timeout of 2.5 minutes during the innings. In the event that the bowling team fails to finish their overs within the designated time, they are permitted to position only 4 fielders outside the field.
Teams have the option to utilize a substitute player before the commencement of the innings. Additionally, they can declare their final 11 players either prior to or following the toss to the referee. It is noteworthy that the Team of 11 players can consist of a maximum of 4 players.
Furthermore, each squad may comprise up to 15 players, with a cap of 8 players being eligible for selection in the playing XI.
